Our Roman Feast and Toga party! As an introduction to our Roman topic, Year 5 enjoyed a day of Roman based activities. We made mosaics, wrote messages in Roman letters and enjoyed a feast!
Our fourth star of the week this year is Sophia. She a very hard working and caring young lady. Well done!
5H Great British Sewing Bee! We have been working hard to make a protective cover for our ukuleles.

Well done to our shining star this week. Steven is a super role model and gives 100% in every lesson.
5H have been working hard to read, understand and use Roman Numerals. We have been using lollipop sticks to form the numbers and test each other.

A super start to literacy in 5H!
5H have made a fantastic start to their literacy work this year. We have been using Harry Potter as our inspiration and looking at different ways to start a sentence (verb starters, adverb starters, similes). We have also been reading and completing some work on our class novel, 'Beetle Boy'. All of the children wrote a descriptive paragraph all about the main character, Darkus.

I cannot believe you will be arriving back to school in 3 sleeps! We have been very busy preparing our school and classroom for you! I'm really looking forward to seeing you all.

Hello and welcome to our new class page! I am over the moon to be your teacher for Year 5 and I am also delighted that Mrs Hunter will be working with us again too! I know it will be a fantastic year with lots of learning, adventures and laughs along the way.
