Read the front cover and the first 5 pages of Mulan, up to 'In the morning, Mulan bid farewell to her family.'
In your book, draw a blank outline of a person. Think about Mulan's characteristics and complete a role on the wall.
After reading the first 5 pages, think about how Mulan is feeling and what she is thinking and write these words on the inside of the blank template.
On the outside of the template, write down a description of her appearance and what qualities she has.
Remember to choose powerful words. Use a thesaurus or word hippo on line to find synonyms to improve your word choice.
