Our first ever Times Tables Rockstar Hall of Fame event was held today. The top 5 rockstar times from each year group competed to be crowned the rockstar champion and gain a place on our hall of fame board. Well done to all our champions. I wonder who the winners will be next week?
Our visit to the Lake District
We visited Little Langdale and went to Cathedral Quarry. We walked around the surrounding area and played games. The children went on treasure hunts for reindeer moss, quartz, slate and many other things they could find. We played 'pooh sticks' and explored the old quarry tunnels - it was very dark, damp and cold!
The children said it was their best day ever - splashing in puddles and getting wet was great fun.
Certainly a great way to start the school week.

Year 5 Ukuleles
What a fantastic time we had at the Lancaster and Morecambe Sports Festival today (Friday 26th May). The girls' football team became champions, the tag rugby team came 2nd and the Year 3/4 athletics team performed brilliantly all afternoon and were unlucky to not make the top 3. It was an extremely hot day and the children all competed in their events really well, making Torrisholme proud. Well done.
Fencing club has started. What a fantastic time the children had in the first session!

What a fantastic day we had at Rydal water despite the rain!
Pupil Parliament strikes again! Selected children from Torrisholme School Council have had a productive morning designing and voting for their favourite slogan and logo to kick start our campaign in the local area.
Mrs Baker, Max, Elliott, Bella and Marnie had a great time at Pupil Parliament! A very worthwhile experience talking about how we can improve our local area!
What a brilliant day we all had ghyll scrambling!
