Viking Day!!
Internet Safety Day
As part of internet safety day, the children discussed the pros & cons of social media and wether they feel social media has a place in our society. They created posters which we are just adding the finishing touches to tomorrow! The responses from the children were very sensible and balanced and they decided collectively, that social media has some definite advantages, such as staying in touch with friends & family and learning more about our world, but some obvious dangers such as becoming detached from the real world and comparing our lives to others and the negative impact this can have on our mental health.

Harry Potter Day
The children LOVED bringing in their port keys for Harry Potter day. They used their objects to write a descriptive paragraph from where their port key took them. They were treated to a butter beer from Miss Crozier before lunch too!

Science
In science, we investigated buoyancy and upthrust and how the shape of a boat affects this. We also investigated the best sail shape.
History
We got our archaeologist heads on in history last week, where we excavated Viking artefacts.
Science
This afternoon, the children tested the strength of a variety of biscuits by dunking them in warm water. They had to consider how to make the experiments fair when testing each biscuit.
