Viking Day!
A great gymnastics session this afternoon - the children worked brilliantly performing their counter balance and counter tension balance routines on the apparatus
The children enjoyed investigating maps to find clues in place names to locate Viking settlements.
We have loved writing our Viking raid newspaper reports and can’t wait to see our published reports on display very soon!

The Viking longship design process has begun
We really enjoyed drawing our Vikings and using charcoal to add effects.
We have been practising writing the orientation of a newspaper report using the facts of familiar traditional tales.
Cricket
The children had a great afternoon practising their cricket skills with our coach, Mike.
History
The children were being archaeologists this afternoon when they were looking at relics from the Viking period of history. They had to consider the nature, purpose and significance of each artefact.
