Spring 2

Shakespeare ‘A play in a day’. The children absolutely loved learning lines, making props, practising and performing Macbeth and put on an incredible performance - all in just a day!

Today, in Science, we made a periscope and could explain how they worked using scientific language brilliantly!

In DT, the children have been challenged to create a stage curtain which operates using a pulley. However, to add to the challenge, they have been tasked with finding a way to get multiple pulleys working at the same time using a handle! They investigated and explored with ideas really well before designing and making their stage curtains!

Investigating how we see objects behind us through a mirror building on last week’s learning about how we see.

To prepare for their DT project, the children learned about different mechanisms and made simple pulleys to explore how they are going to get their stage curtain operating.
