In science, we loved observing flowers from the school grounds, plotting them on a map and then very carefully drawing them. We carefully planted a variety of seeds and set up our year 2 sunflower competition. Look out for your child's sunflower seeds coming home and help your child to look after and grow their own sunflower.

History
We are enjoying learning all about William the Conqueror and the Battle of Hastings.
We enjoyed designing our very own Anglo-Saxon shields ready for our history re-enactment of the Battle of Hastings.
Our re-enactment of The Battle of Hastings
We had lots of fun with a re-enactment of the Battle of Hastings! 2M children took on the role of Norman invaders under the leadership of William of Normandy, while 2D children bravely defended Harold Godwinson and their country as the Anglo Saxons.
All of the children were thoroughly immersed in their roles, taking this historical storytelling very seriously. Fantastic, Year 2!
