Summer Walk
We enjoyed a walk around school this afternoon spotting the different signs of Summer (while we could!) We used our super senses to see/feel/hear and smell different things. Once back in the classroom we used our artistic skills to draw what we had observed.
Computing Detectives
Today in our computing lesson we logged onto the laptops and learnt how to retrieve a saved document from our class folder. We worked together to remember the steps and were able to open a treasure map! The map gave us different locations around the school grounds to explore and we discovered lots of jumbled up letters. When we put the letters together we found out that they spelt the word Torrisholme! This is where our new topic journey begins - we can't wait to explore our local area.
Happy Mount Park Trip
We have had a lovely day at Happy Mount Park. On our walk there we talked about the different thigns we could see e.g. a bus stop, a sold sign etc. Once at Happy Mount Park we had a go on the park, we created a map of the park and even had time for some sketching of trees before lunch. In the afternoon we all got to go on the train before walking back to school and enjoying a well earned ice lolly! What a fantastic day!
Science Investigation
What fun we had putting our senses to the test in our Science lesson. We identified the 5 senses and the parts of the body we needed for these. Then we put them to the test to find out the mystery items by smelling, listening, feeling, tasting and looking. Great fun! Some of the smells weren’t very nice! Very stinky!
