RIO VIBES!!!
We SMASHED it!!!!
The children certainly brought the carnival atmosphere to Torrisholme today. It was such an enjoyable day to be part of and share. Well done 4T - you were beyond fantastically fabulous!
🤩🤗🥳
Well, what a terrific day out we enjoyed on Friday 9th July. The animals and staff at Cumbria’s Safari Zoo in Dalton were on form.
We saw and heard so many different animals and were lucky enough to experience the playfulness of the ringtailed lemurs along with their 15 babies. We saw play fighting, swinging, scrambling, strutting, scratching, flapping, pacing, climbing, lounging, napping... and yes, we even witnessed the natural movement of a giraffe 🤣. As you can imagine, this brought an eruption of hilarity!
We were given an informative talk about the importance of the world’s tropical rainforests and learn new facts about Earth. The day was then finished off with a fun feed... giving carrots to some giraffes. All the children were very calm, bravely feeding the giraffes with care. (Nobody squealed except the very last feeder - Mrs Taylor! Who knew a giraffe’s tongue, which is so incredibly wet, was also bristly like a nail brush?!!! Unexpected!)
In fact, the children performed so brilliantly, I think we have a few zoo keepers in the making in 4T! And a vet or two! Thank you so much for a really enjoyable day. Even the hold-up on the journey home added to the experience.
Well done 4T, you were ACE!! 🤩🤩🤩🤩
Capoeira
This afternoon, we really enjoyed learning some of the moves from the Brazilian dance - Capoeira.
This is a mixture of dance and martial arts.
