Garlic Bread and A Super Mighty Salad!
The wonderful aroma of garlic travelled through the corridor and made all the children (and grownups!) very hungry in neighbouring classrooms! Jake eagerly said “this is the best garlic bread I’ve ever had!” and all the children gave it full marks. We cannot wait to make something again using plants from the Tower Garden.
Nature Printing!
What’s been cooking in the Year 3 classrooms?
What a fabulous end to the week as the children rolled up their sleeves and put their culinary skills to the test. Using basil from our Tower Gardens, the children made a delicious pesto sauce and served it with pasta. Many of the children hadn’t tried pesto before but they thought it was scrumptious and would definitely make it home - with the help of a grownup! Recipe details are below.
Block Printing
The children have thoroughly enjoyed their first attempt at making a printing block with string. They were given free rein on their design and we’re sure you’ll agree that they have produced some brilliant colourful prints.
