Today we are going to look at the story 'The Great Race' This tells the story of how the Chinese New Year first began. Listen to Mrs Kippax read the story in the video below. There is also a Chinese New Year zodiac wheel attached so you can find out which animal you were born in the year of. 

Activity: Complete the story map from your paper pack (pictured below) Who was in the story - can you remember all the animals? What happened in the story? Why was it happening? Where did the story take place? When did the story happen?
