Can you paint a symmetrical butterfly?
*Symmetry is when two parts are exactly identical. Something is symmetrical when you can draw a line down it and both sides look the same. This is called the line of symmetry.
Butterflies are amazing! Have a look at my pictures below...
What do you see looking at the butterflies? Are each of their wings the same as each other? Do they have a line is symmetry? Does this mean they are symmetrical?
Can you create your very own symmetrical butterfly? Take a piece of paper, fold it in half, draw one side of a butterfly and cut it out. Pick one side of the butterfly and paint it then fold it in half and press down, open up to see you beautiful symmetrical butterfly ๐ฆ
