  • The Big Pedal!

    Sun 01 Mar 2015

    The Big Pedal Is Here!

From Monday 2nd March, Torrisholme School are registered for the BIG PEDAL. This is a nationwide event that encourages children - and parents - to cycle or scoot to school every day.

A total is taken each day of how many people have come to school by bike or scooter, this is recorded on a national website and prizes are given to the most active school. Points are awarded for each participant - children/parents who cycle earn more points for school than those who scoot (although both count).

It would be great for as many children/parents as possible to get involved with this project. It doesn’t matter if you can’t do it every day - every little helps. Bikes and scooters can be locked in the bike sheds or along the back fence.

Please ensure children are cycling safely and wear a helmet at all times!
