    Garage Nativity

On Sunday 21st December, one of our Y4 pupils, Jessica, organised a nativity in her garage. She gathered her friends and family to star in the show called, 'The Donkey's Christmas' and served cups of tea and coffee with mince pies. In total, Jessica raised £250, which she donated to St John's Hospice. Well done to Jessica and all her friends and family! smiley

You can see a photo of Jessica's nativity in the gallery section of the website.

Rosie and Nibbles would like to say a big thank you to Amelia in Y4, who bought them this fantastic new home after visiting a pet fair! Both guinea pigs spent the morning snuggled up inside there together!
  • Dinosaur Egg Arrives!!

    Mon 26 Jan 2015

Delivery from The Natural History Museum!

Today the children in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 started work on their joint dinosaur topic and received an exciting delivery! Mrs Penney interrupted assembly to announce that a large box had been delivered, along with a letter addressed to the children.

The letter was from The Natural History Museum, explaining that they had heard about our dinosaur topic and that they were sending us a recently discovered dinosaur egg! We have to look after the egg very well, as it has to be sent back to them in one month, so that they can carry out further tests on it!

    Thanks from the Foodbank

On Wednesday, Mrs Price and two members of Year 4 went along to Morecambe Bay Foodbank, where they were invited to take part in a presentation all about the work of the Foodbank.

The children were presented with a certificate and a huge tin of chocolates to share with the rest of Year 4, to thank them for all their hard work, fund raising and kindness.

We had a guided tour of the Foodbank and learnt all about the fabulous work the volunteers do. They are now regularly feeding 3000 local people, including 1000 children.

We hope you will continue to support Year 4's efforts by donating an item of food on our first 'Foodbank Friday' on Friday 6th February.

We also met with journalists from The Visitor and The Bay Radio. Follow the link below to see our photo on their website!!
