Elves in Training!
If your elves have been getting in some training ahead of next week's Elf Run, we would love to see the evidence!
Following the run, we will draw out a winner to receive a special prize!
Lancashire Dance Festival
Mrs Marriott's dance troupe are all ready to storm the Lancashire Dance Festival at Preston Guild Hall on Thursday evening!
Thank you to the PTFA, who donated the funds for these super t-shirts for them to wear for the performance.
Celebrating Differences
At Torrisholme, we are proud of the fact that we celebrate differences - everyone is different, everyone is equal.
We spent a whole day celebrating differences between people and individuality. The children were grouped with children from other classes and age groups and took part in a range of different creative activities.
At the end of the day, the whole school came together to take part in the 'This is Me Parade' - we had learnt the song and the signs. It was a wonderful sight to behold! ![]()
Children in Need
The School Council did a fantastic job of organising our Children in Need fundraising! We had a non-uniform day, with a coffee morning for families. We were inundated with donations of scrumptious cake (so much so that we has to set up an extra stall after school!) and had visitors queuing down the street to enjoy a piece!
Thank you to everyone who helped by organising, dressing in non-uniform, donating cake and eating cake! We raised a grand total of £1215.37! Wow!
Torrisholme's Elf Run
We had a visit from Chris, from St. John's Hospice, who came into assembly to tell us all about our exciting Elf Run challenge to help raise funds for the hospice.
The fun run is a family event taking place on Morecambe promenade on Friday 7th December, starting at 4.00pm.
Each child has been provided with a fabulous elf hat and an envelope to collect some sponsor money, or a donation.
We hope to see lots of you there - is should be lots of fun and will help keep us all fit and elfy!!
