Summer Holiday Foodbank Collection
Mrs Penney set each class the challenge of collecting as much food as they possibly could for the local foodbank, who really struggle to meet the demands of local families who need support during the school holidays. This morning, Mrs Penney visited each class to see how their collection had gone and was amazed to see how generous our families have been. It was a very tough competition, but the winners were the two classes in Year 4, who will be rewarded with a visit to the ice cream van. The volunteers who collected the food were delighted by the amount and had to make two trips in their van to squeeze it all in! Thank you so much for all your donations!
Goodbye Year 6!
The hall was packed out with families this morning as Year 6 entertained us with their memories and some super singing. After being presented with their autograph books by Chair of Governors, Phil Huddart, the children let go balloons with their dreams for the future attached. The whole school and an army of parents then came along to wave them off on the open-top bus. We wish each and every one of them lots of luck in their new schools.
Year 6 Leavers' Ceilidh
Year 6 had a fun-filled evening of ceilidh dancing with a fantastic live band to celebrate the end of the year! A big thank you to the PTFA for organising and funding a great event!
