e-Safety Poster Competition Winners Announced!
In assembly today, the winners of our competition were announced! We were thrilled to have over 100, fantastic posters to choose from, although it was a very hard decision and took a lot of time!!
Well done to all the children who designed a poster - look out for all the entries around school.
Dinosaur Rumpus!
Today, the children in Reception and Key Stage 1 have been celebrating the end of their joint topic on dinosaurs by throwing a 'Dinosaur Rumpus'! We had singing, dancing and lots of fabulous work to see.
One sneaky dinosaur even crept into school and caused mayhem!! She was very friendly though!!
Year 2 Kidsafe Sessions
After half term, Year 2 will be taking part in weekly 'Kidsafe' sessions, which are delivered by Mrs Winder, our Learning Mentor.
Kidsafe is a specialised Child Protection Programme which builds children's self confidence and self esteem, equipping them to deal with unsafe situations.
Mrs Winder will be running Parent/Carer Information Sessions, for parents/carers of children in Year 2, to discuss the content of these sessions. These will take place on Monday 23rd February at 9.00am or 2.30pm, in the staff room at school.
e-Safety Competition
To celebrate 'Safer Internet Day' and to raise awareness of online safety, we are holding a poster competition, which is open to all the children.
The competition will be shared with the children during assembly and the closing date is Wednesday 25th February, giving them all of half term to get busy with their designs! Entries should be posted in the box in the entrance hall and the winner will be announced on Friday 27th February, with the lucky winner winning an iPod!
For further information on the competition and online safety, please see the Powerpoint presentation in the 'Gallery' in the Children's section of the website.
Dinosaur Day 2
The children in Reception, Y1 and Y2 were mixed into their dinosaur groups for another carousel of dinosaur fun and games! We hope to see you all at our 'Dinosaur Rumpus' next Friday at 2pm to see our fantastic work, singing and dancing!
