Foodbank Presentation

After all our hard work collecting food for Morecambe Bay Foodbank, some of our School Council Representatives were invited along to a presentation afternoon. 

Accompanied by Mrs Winder, the children enjoyed a buffet lunch and a tour behind the scenes, before being presented, with thanks for the 2650 meals we have collected and donated over the school year, by volunteers and the Mayor!

Together Torrisholme is Crushing Cancer

This morning, we were very proud to present three cheques from our mammoth fundraising campaign, each for £4437, to Cancer Research UK, Breast Cancer Care and St John's Hospice. 

A huge thank you to all our families who supported our events and activities - it was an amazing 'Team Torrisholme' effort!

Roald Dahl Day

Today we celebrated the genius Roald Dahl by dressing up as characters (and objects!) from his stories. The children looked fantastic and a great deal of creativity was on show with their costumes and accessories! Thank you to all our families who took part.

A Visit from the BFG!

This morning, children in Key Stage 2 enjoyed a visit from the BFG, who put on a fabulous show and inspired budding authors!

Choir Visit Eric Morecambe House

This afternoon, Mrs Jones and the choir visited Eric Morecambe House to sing some festive songs for the elderly residents. The children had a lovely time meeting the ladies and gentlemen and chatting to them.

It was lovely to see so many people visiting school today to share Year 1's learning about the different countries Golden Bear has visited recently!
